SMU Visited Belarusian and Polish Colleges

SMU News, Jul 28 Recently, President Zeng Ming, together with another five colleagues in charge from relative sectors paid a visit to Belarus and Poland under the invitation of Belarusian State University (BSU) and AGH University of Science and Technology so as to enhance exchanges and deepen cooperation between SMU and countries along "The Belt and Road". This was also the first time for SMU to visit Belarus and Poland.

Zeng Ming and others visited Belarusian State University, the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, AGH University of Science and Technology and Cracow University of Economics. During the visit, each side introduced basic conditions such as its development history, specialties, predominant disciplines, and personnel training. In addition, agreements of intention in such areas as teacher-student exchange, student cultivation, scientific research cooperation and collaboration on hosting academic meetings have been achieved. Also, SMU signed an intercollegiate cooperation framework agreement with BSU, The BSU of Culture and Arts, and AGH University of Science and Technology.

This visit is a trailblazing trip of cooperation in education under the Belt and Road Initiative. It is also SMU’s initial contact with BSU, The BSU of Culture and Arts, AGH University of Science and Technology and Cracow University of Economics. The signing of the intercollegiate cooperation framework agreement will open a new chapter for our all-directional, multi-layered and wide-ranging cooperation with colleges in countries along the route. SMU will continue to extend its international cooperation, give full play to international cooperation and exchanges between colleges, and promoting understandings between peoples of countries along the Belt and Road, thus contributing to a better humanistic pattern where mutually appreciates, understands and respects each other.
