More than 700 Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University students have received the gift of education, following the announcement of the 2019/20 Academic Scholarships on July 12.

The XJTLU Scholarship Committee awarded a total of 732 scholarships to students this year.

The University offers Progression Scholarships and Continuing Academic Merit Scholarship to students based on their academic performance in the previous academic year. The Progression Scholarship is divided into two categories – the University Academic Excellence Award and the University Academic Achievement Award.

Students in the top 5 percent of their program cohort receive a University Academic Excellence Award of 10,000RMB while students in the top 5.1 percent to 10 percent of the program cohort receive a University Academic Achievement Award of RMB5000.

In addition, Entry Scholarships or Retained Entry Scholarships are awarded to previous recipients of the Progression Scholarships who continue to rank in the top 25 percent of their program cohort in the following year.
