University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. Established in 2004 and are run by The University of Nottingham. Located in the prosperous city of Ningbo in China's Zhejiang province, and offer degree programs taught in English as well as leading-edge research and development. The university offers many scholarships to award exceptional international students. Here are all the scholarships you can apply for when you apply for UNNC.
If you are applying for a degree program at UNNC:
1. Nottingham Global Scholarship
Ⅰ. Value of the award
(1) Nottingham Global Full scholarship is worth 110,000 RMB per student, the equivalent of 100% toward the first year of undergraduate and postgraduate tuition fees.
(2) This scholarship is an entrance scholarship only. The fees will be waived from students' first year's tuition fees or will be refunded to students if the full tuition fee is already paid.
Ⅱ. Eligibility
(1) You must be an overseas applicant who has applied.
(2) For undergraduate applicants: Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved the minimum requirements of AAA in A-level; IB 36 points or equivalent for Qualifying year entry; or AAAAA in IGCSE or equivalent for Primary year entry, as determined at the time of admission.
(3) For postgraduate taught applicants: Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved at minimum requirements of UK first class (70) or equivalent, as determined at the time of admission.
Ⅲ. How to apply
A separate application for the Nottingham Global Full Scholarship is required. To complete the Nottingham Global Full Scholarship application, a completed scholarship application form needs to be submitted via the online application system by the designated deadline (for early applicants, please attach the form in the 'other documents' under section 6 in the system). In addition, due to the nature of competition, applicants will be automatically considered for the next eligible scholarships available should they miss the first round of selection until the quota is filled.
Ⅳ. Deadline
This scholarship will be awarded on a rolling basis until 31st May 2023.
2. Nottingham Global Half Scholarship
Ⅰ. Value of the award
Nottingham Global Half scholarships are worth 55,000 RMB per student, the equivalent of 50% toward the first year of undergraduate and postgraduate tuition fees.
This scholarship is an entrance scholarship only. The fees will be waived from students' first year's tuition fee or will be refunded to students if the full tuition fee is paid.
Ⅱ. Eligibility
(1) You must be an overseas applicant who has applied.
(2) For undergraduate applicants: Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved the minimum requirements of AAB in A-level; IB 34 points or equivalent for Qualifying year entry; or AAAAB in IGCSE or equivalent for Primary year entry, as determined at the time of admission.
(3) For postgraduate taught applicants: Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved at minimum requirements of UK upper-second class (65) or equivalent, as determined at the time of admission.

A separate application for the Nottingham Global Half Scholarship is required. To complete the Nottingham Global Half Scholarship application, a completed scholarship application form needs to be submitted via the online application system by the designated deadline (for early applicants, please attach the form in the 'other documents' under section 6 in the system). 3. Nottingham Global A Quarter Scholarship
Ⅰ. Value of the award
Nottingham Global A Quarter Scholarship is worth 27,500 RMB per student, the equivalent of 25% toward the first year of undergraduate tuition fee.
This scholarship is an entrance scholarship only. The fees will be waived from students' first year's tuition fee or will be refunded to students if the full tuition fee is paid.
Ⅱ. Eligibility
(1) You must be an overseas applicant who has applied.
(2) For undergraduate applicants: Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved the minimum requirements of ABB in A-level; IB 32 points or equivalent for Qualifying year entry; or AAABB in IGCSE or equivalent for Primary year entry, as determined at the time of admission.
(3) For postgraduate taught applicants: Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved at minimum requirements of UK upper-second class (60) or equivalent, as determined at the time of admission.
Ⅲ. How to apply
A separate application for the Nottingham Global A Quarter Scholarship is required. To complete the application, a completed scholarship application form needs to be submitted via the online application system by the designated deadline (for early applicants, please attach the form in the 'other documents' under section 6 in the system). In addition, due to the nature of competition, applicants will be automatically considered for the next eligible scholarships available should they miss the first round of selection until the quota is filled.

This scholarship will be awarded on a rolling basis until 31st May 2023.
4. Zhejiang/Ningbo Government Scholarship
Ⅰ. Value of the award
20,000 RMB for undergraduate students; 30,000RMB for postgraduate students
Ⅱ. Deadline
This scholarship will be awarded on a rolling basis until 31st May 2023.
5. Central and Eastern European Countries Scholarships
20,000 RMB for full-time undergraduate students; RMB 30,000 for full-time postgraduate students
Students from Central and Eastern European Countries will be directly awarded CEEC Scholarship each year. The countries include Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.
6. Family Scholarship
A 10% fee reduction is awarded to the children, brothers, sisters, husbands, or wives of students who are currently registered on award-bearing full-time courses at the University of Nottingham Ningbo or who have already completed award-bearing courses.
No application is required for this scholarship. However, students are required to submit official documents (Birth Certificates) to prove their relationship with the family member.
For a maximum of 4 years.
7. Alumni Scholarship(for postgraduate only)
In recognition of the academic ability of University of Nottingham graduates, students applying for full-time postgraduate studies at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and who have previously studied at the undergraduate level at the University of Nottingham, UK, China, or Malaysia are entitled to a 15% tuition fee scholarship for maximum three years.
No application is required for this scholarship. However, students are required to send official documents (Degree Certificates) to prove that they graduated from the University of Nottingham.

If you are in a degree program at UNNC:
1. National Scholarship
National Scholarship is designed to recognize students' outstanding achievements academically as well as in extracurricular areas. A National Scholarship Awards Selection Committee shall be set up within the university and will be responsible for discussing and making decisions about important related issues, formulating selection procedures, and approving the awards list related to the UNNC National Scholarship Awards.
Funding standards: 8,000 RMB per year
2. National Encouragement Scholarship
National Encourage Scholarship aims to motivate students with financial difficulties, who got outstanding achievements academically as well as in extracurricular areas.
Funding standards: 5,000 RMB per year
3. Zhejiang Provincial Scholarship
Zhejiang Provincial Scholarship is set up for motivated and high-caliber registered UNNC Chinese undergraduate students (except for preliminary year students). This scholarship is designed to recognize students’ outstanding achievements academically as well as in extracurricular areas.
Funding standards: 6,000 RMB per year
4. Baosteel Scholarship
UNNC’s Baosteel Scholarship was established by the Baosteel Education Foundation in 2016 to reward outstanding undergraduates. The purpose of this award is to reward outstanding talents, show respect to teachers, and support educational development. Each year, UNNC selects two students and recommends one to participate in the Baosteel Special Scholarship.
Funding standards: 10,000 RMB per year
5. Dream Scholarship
Dream Scholarship was founded by Professor Fujia Yang, President of The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). This scholarship aims at stimulating students' passions for pursuing dreams, promoting their moral, intellectual, and physical development, and encouraging individuals or societies for excellent extracurricular activities.
Funding standards: 3,000-10,000 RMB per year
