On the afternoon of June 24, the graduation ceremony and degree conferring ceremony for postgraduates were held in the Second Meeting Hall of QUST. Presidents of QUST Prof. Gao Qing, Prof. Ma Lianxiang, Prof. Luo Gongli, Prof. Li Qingling, Prof. Liu Guangye, Prof. Zhang Shuhua, and Prof. Wei Dianhua attended the ceremonies. Leaders of the concerned departments, college directors and all the postgraduates presented.

The ceremonies were hosted by Prof. Wang Yongyan, director of the Graduate School . President Ma Lianxiang delivered a speech on behalf of the university. He gave sincere congratulations to all the postgraduates and also put forward a few “hopes”. He hoped that the students will continue to cultivate a competitive and innovative sense, be ambitious and achieve successes. He suggested that the students should form their own six “powers”: determination, ambition, capacity, persistence, cooperativeness and external force. He wishes that all the students will have healthy mind and body and a bright life. He expected that all the graduates will often come and visit the Alma Mater, concern and contribute to its development

At the ceremonies, the Outstanding Graduates of the provincial level, school level were issued certificates and the Excellent Graduation Papers for PhD and master’s degree were announced. Teacher representative and student representative also delivered their congratulation speeches.

Finally 14 PhD graduates and 697 postgraduates were conferred diplomas and degrees by the presidents and graduation photos were taken for their beautiful memory in QUST.
