On March 24, 2012, CUPL President Huang Jin attended the signing ceremony of CBL International Oxford Summer Institute at Oriel College, which was held at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. During the ceremony, President Huang Jin signed a cooperation agreement with Oriel College Provost Sir Derek Morris.

During his remarks, Sir Derek Morris expressed thanks to CUPL, Oriel College’s first Chinese partner and program supporter since 2003. He said Oriel attached great importance to the cooperation with CUPL, and hoped to continue the exchange of students and teachers through the Summer Institute. President Huang Jin delivered a speech on behalf of the Chinese partner.

Before the start of the signing ceremony, President Huang Jin and Sir Derek Morris held talks and were interviewed by CCTV reporters. 

Other new partner universities invited to attend the signing ceremony included: Nankai University, Tsinghua University, Shandong University, Peking University, Renmin University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, East China Normal University, Tongji University, and Nanjing University.
