MOU on Cooperation Signed Between University of Edinburgh and SUFE

On April 13th, President Jiang Chuanhai and Professor Peter Mathieson,Principal of University of Edinburgh signed on the memorandum of understanding(MOU) on cooperation, writing down a beautiful prelude for the two universities to advance forward hand in hand, which marks another remarkable achievement in internationalization of SUFE

 

 

University of Edinburgh is a world-famous university. During his visit to University of Edinburgh, President Jiang Chuanhai had a warm and friendly meeting with Principal Peter Mathieson and Vice-Principal International, Professor James Smith. During the meeting, the two sides introduced the development of each university and  expressed their expectation to deepen friendship and cooperation. They exchanged the experiences and views on trends of development under the background of globalization and reached a consensus on setting up a discipline platform to carried out cooperative research in the field of finance, management and economy, and established joint training projects. 

Subsequently, under the witness of representatives from both sides, President Jiang Chuanhai and Principal Peter Mathieson jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.

 

 

The University of Edinburgh is one of the top universities in the UK. Located in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, it was founded in 1583 and is the sixth oldest university in English speaking countries. According to the QS Rankings 2018, it is ranked 23rd in the world, 25th in the subject of law, and its economics and econometrics, business administration, accounting and finance and statistics are within 100 in the world. It is ranked 27th by the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2018, and its business and economics is ranked the 61st in the world, and law 14th the world.

Wei Hang, executive vice Dean of College of Business, Li Hong Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and Sun Bing, Dean of International Cultural Exchange School, also attended the meeting.
