On May 14, DU Peng, Vice President of Renmin University of China, met with a delegation from the visiting National University of Chimborazo in Ecuador (UNACH). The delegation includes Patricio Villacres, Dean of the School of Engineering, and the School of Engineering. Prof. Hugo Cerda and the representative of the Embassy of Ecuador in China.

Du Peng gave a detailed introduction to the history, comprehensive strength, and academic advantages of Renmin University. He said that Renmin University is a well-renowned university in the field of humanities and social sciences in China, and a leader in the fields of economics, law, sociology, journalism, statistics, business administration, and public administration. RUC looks forward to conducting exchanges and cooperation with Ecuadorian universities and welcomes students from the National University of Chimborazo to study at Renmin University.

Dean of the School of Engineering introduced the current achievements of the school on behalf of President Chimbolaso and expressed his sincere intention to conduct academic exchanges and cooperation with Renmin University. The school has four colleges: School of Education, School of Politics, School of Medicine, and School of Engineering. There are more than 10,000 students enrolled.

ZHANG Damiao, deputy director of RUC International and WU Nisi, director of the Department of Spanish at the School of Foreign Languages, attended the meeting.
