On November 2, 2017, President QIAO Jianyong met with Schahram Dustdar. He is academician of the Academy of Europe, IEEE Fellow, ACM outstanding scientist and professor at Technische Universität Wien.
 

President QIAO Jianyong firstly extended his warm welcome and made a brief introduction of the latest development, discipline features and research advantage of BUPT. BUPT is a comprehensive university with engineering as its main feature. He also mentioned the updates in establishing the research institute of Internet of Things. He hoped that both parties could cooperate on more pragmatic projects.
 

Schahram Dustdar is a Full Professor of Computer Science (Informatics) with research interest in Internet Technologies, and leads the Distributed Systems Group at the TU Wien. He is a member of the IEEE Conference Activities Committee (CAC), of the Section Committee of Informatics of the Academia Europaea. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, ACM Transactions on the Web, and ACM Transactions on Internet Technology and on the editorial board of IEEE Internet Computing. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Computing (an SCI-ranked journal of Springer).
 

After the meeting, he made a lecture on Cyber-Human Partnerships – Towards a Resilient Ecosystem in Smart Cities to our teachers and students.
