Professor Ni Yiqing from HK PolyU Visits ZJUT
On January 13th, Professor Ni Yiqing from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), delivered an academic lecture at Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT).
This lecture was about the theoretical and practical research development of the Structural Health Monitoring Theory (SHMT). Teachers and graduate students of related disciplines attended this symposium.
In his lecture, Prof. Ni elaborated his research results on SHMT through engineering practices of Hongkong Bridge and High-speed rail detection, by applying Bayesi Theory.
At the end of the symposium, Prof. Ni exchanged ideas with teachers and students.
Dr Ni is currently a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at PolyU, who specializes in structural dynamics and control, SHM, smart materials and structures, and nonlinear vibrations.
