SDUT was inscribed in the list of the first university bases for technology transfer and for transformation from scientific and technological achievements (bases for short) recently issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Education in the notice No. 31 [2019]. 

Of the first 47 bases, 22 are based on Tsinghua University and 21 other institutions of higher education run by the Ministry of Education, and 25 are set up in the universities run by provincial education departments. And SDUT is one of the three universities in Shandong Province inscribed in the list, the other two being Shandong University and Shandong University of Science and Technology. 

Through application and recommendation of institutions of higher education, 47 bases were selected according to the provisions stipulated in the document entitled “Interim Measures for the Identification of University Bases for Technology Transfer and Transformation form Scientific and Technological Achievements”, and finalized by the evaluation experts. The provisions are as follows: having good qualifications in scientific innovation, in dire need of, featuring in and achieving remarkable results in achievement transformation, making outstanding contributions to major national and regional strategic development and industrial growth. 

Selection to one of the bases means that SDUT has gained national recognition in terms of technology transfer and transformation from scientific and technological achievements. Assuming primary responsibility, SDUT will comply with the construction & school-running objectives stipulated in the “Interim Measures” by taking into account the tasks of building a high-level university, strengthening the top design of the transformation from scientific and technological achievements, making overall plans, balancing resources, providing support and working together for the transformation, refining work plans in terms of major tasks, division of labor and the schedule, implementing the plans and tasks, and providing teachers and students with quality services to transform the scientific and technological results.
