On Feb 25, 2014, Shaanxi Normal University and Xi’an Wanke Enterprise Co., Ltd. signed an agreement on the joint establishment of a junior middle school and a primary school at the Wanke town in Chang’an district, Xi’an city.

SNNU vice president You Xuqun and Xi’an Wanke’s general manager Qian Jia inked the agreement at the signing ceremony.

According to the agreement, the Chang’an Wanke Town Junior Middle School and Primary School will be completed and opened on September 1, 2016 and September 1, 2017 respectively.

The Junior Middle School, 15,714m2 in floorage, will have about 1,080 students in 24 classes in three grades. The Primary School, 19,000m2 in floorage, will have about 1,620 students in 36 classes in six grades.

Prof. Gan Hui, chairman of SNNU University Affairs Committee, Mr. Ren Yingkun and Mr. Lu Shengli, members of the Standing Committee of the University Affairs Committee, Mr. Mo Jun, vice CEO of Wanke Group, attended and spoke at the ceremony, which is also attended by officials and representatives from both sides.
