As the Christmas and New Year approaching, Shaanxi Normal University thanked and commended its foreign teachers at a reception held at the western restaurant of Qixiayuan hotel on December 23, 2013.

Johanna Ludde from Germany, Kearns Maegan Marie and James Bruce Radebaugh（美国） from U.S.A. were honored as the 2013 Outstanding Foreign Teachers and received honorary certificates from Prof. You Xuqun, vice-president of the university.

Speaking on behalf of the foreign teachers,Johanna Ludde thanked the university for the help and support rendered to them and said they would continue to do what they could to contribute to the university’s development.

All the foreign teachers working at the university, together with their family members, and Mr. Xu Feng, director of International Programs Office and other staff members of the office, attended the reception. The office’s vice-director Ms Zhang Linyun hosted the reception.

Mr. Xu Feng thanked the foreign teachers for their service, and said university would always be supportive to them. He also presented Christmas gifts to them.

Student who have studied overseas performed at the reception, playing Erhu, bamboo flute, singing Jasmine Flower, and performing magic.

SNNU began to carry out an annual assessment of its foreign teachers in 2010, whose performance is reviewed and scored by students and schools and departments, and then determined by the university.
