The awarding ceremony of the third World Chinese-Portuguese Translation Competition was held at the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) in south China's Macao on July 24, 2019. The event attracted 166 teams from 43 colleges and universities from around the world.

The team representing UIBE's Business Confucius Institute at FAAP gained third place, behind the MPI and the University of Minho in Portugal in first and second places respectively.

The competition aims to strengthen the exchange of Chinese-Portuguese translation skills among college students globally. It plays an important role in supporting the implementation of China's Belt and Road Initiative, promoting the friendly economic and trade relations between China and the Lusophone countries, and improving China's education in the Portuguese language and its translation.
