The Department of Civil Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University has unveiled a new piece of cutting-edge equipment that dean of learning and teaching Dr Chee Seong Chin has called "a milestone" in the research capacity of the University in terms of advanced structural engineering research. This 500-ton capacity structural testing machine will be used for testing structural behaviours of beams, columns, walls and slabs.
