Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Scholarship Committee met and approved scholarships for academic year 2018/19 for 638 students in recognition of their achievements during academic year 2017/18.
 

The University offers Progression Scholarships and Continuing Academic Merit Scholarships (previously called Retention of Entry Scholarships) to students based on their performance in the previous academic year.

The Progression Scholarships are divided into two categories: University Academic Excellence Awards, and University Academic Achievement Awards. Students in the top 5% of the programme cohort receive a University Academic Excellence Award of 10,000 RMB, and students in the top 5.1% to 10% of the programme cohort receive a University Academic Achievement Award of RMB 5,000.

In both cases, students must also have achieved an overall average mark of 65%. The recipients of the Entry Scholarships or Retention of Entry Scholarships in 2017/18 can receive Continuing Academic Merit Scholarships if they continue to rank in the top 25% of the programme cohort in 2017/18.

XJTLU’s Registry Office announced that this year 302 students were awarded University Academic Excellence Awards, 284 students were awarded University Academic Achievement Awards, and 52 students were awarded Continuing Academic Merit Scholarships.
